When you receive your invoice by email, you will see an expiration date for the license. However, this expiration date will reset when you activate your license ID for THE FIRST TIME. For example, you purchase a one-month license on January 1, 2019. You invoice shows the expiration date as January 30, 2019. If you wait to activate the license until February 1, 2019, the expiration will reset to March 2, 2019.
We recommend that you wait to activate your license until you are ready to enjoy its full window of use.
Both the Main Menu and the License Manager will inform you of how many days remain before your license expires.

At the top of your invoice you will see your “Customer Information.” Among that information you will see a Customer ID. Oftentimes, people will confuse their Customer ID with their License ID.
License ID’s are found under “Order Information.” Licenses include an ID and a unique activation password. If you ordered multiple licenses, each license will have a unique ID and password. If you are certain you are using the proper ID and password and are still having issues activating your license, contact us for assistance.

When software updates become available, you will be notified from the SuiteCG splash screen that appears while the program is loading. Updates can be downloaded through the License Manager. It is recommended that you consult the release notes before performing any update in case a major release will cause changes to session files, user interface layouts, etc…
After the update is downloaded you will be prompted to launch the update.

Licenses are activated through the License Manager. In the License Manager, click on the module that you want to activate and enter the License ID and password that you received on your emailed invoice. Once activated, you can use the module without restrictions.
A license can be active on only one computer at a time. From time to time it may be necessary to migrate a license from one computer to another. There are two ways to deactivate a license from an installation.
1. SuiteCG License Manager: From the License Manager you can simply click the Deactivate button. This will deactivate the License ID on that computer. You are then free to enter that same ID on another computer.
2. Customer Portal: If your previous computer died or was stolen, you can log in to your Customer Portal account. Once logged in, select “Licenses & Activations” then select the license ID in question. From the License Details page select “Manage Installations.” From here you can see the activation history for the license, and deactivate a specific installation. This will free up the license for activation on another computer.
While running, modules will periodically check in with the SuiteCG licensing system to check for activation status.
